Kawaii would be one of the best words to describe the darling handmade bags from Mee a Bee, a fabulous online etsy shop from Japan. I first came across Mee a Bee through the owners blog Blooming in Japan, after I had left a comment raving about the fabulous fabric geared towards boys she had mentioned (I'm a fabric hoarder!) , I was sent a note the next day offering me one of the little wallets she had made from the same fabric which wasn't being used for the product line.I gave the wallet to my 6 year old upon receiving it and he couldn't have been more pleased. Now he has a place to put his "found" change like his bigger brother and daddy. The velcro enclosure was perfect for keeping his money from falling out and enabled him to open and close it with out difficulty. I myself loved the fabric it was made from, very age appropiate and extremely fun for boys!
a little bit about the owner/designer of Mee a Bee:
Jacqui who is originally from New Zealand met her husband-to-be while working in Japan and after having their first child she wanted to do something that sparked energy & passion outside of the family. So meshing her knowledge of business and marketing with her love of crafting, she found a niche in the market and honed her crafting skills to fill it. Mee a Bee is a growing business not only in Japan, but the U.S and Australia as well.
Each bag she makes is handmade and crafted from her own designs. With the help of her children they pick the fabric from an array of cute, stylish Japanese material that is environmentally friendly and made from a high cotton content mixed with linen.

How sweet is this Green Apple book bag, perfect for trips to the library or just carrying the basics from place to place.

This toddler messenger bag will have your little ones feeling all grown up as they use it to haul their stash of toys around and play pretend.
If your looking for something a little more specific or different; Mee a Bee is able to create a unique item to your size and color specifications. Don't hesitate to ask! These cute bags would make great gifts for any child.
Follow Mee a Bee on facebook as well as twitter and keep updated with all the new and darling bags she creates as well as upcoming events and news.

Wow, what a lovely surprise for me today. Thank you! I am so glad your son likes his grown-ups wallet. They're as much fun to make as they seem to use. I love what you have written about me personally and about Mee a Bee.
And thank you Cackleberry Kids for leading the way to Monsters in my House and for your comments.
